Článek je zprávou o konání 26. valného shromáždění Mezinárodní unie geodetické a geo-fyzikální (IUGG) v Praze ve dnech 22.6. až 2.7.2015. V úvodu zachycuje strukturu IUGG, připomíná 3. valné shromáždění IUGG v Praze v roce 1927 a stručně popisuje volbu Prahy za místo konání v roce 2015. Následně uvádí některá základní fakta, zejména počet účastníků a pořad zahajovacího zasedání. Dále se článek věnuje obsahu vědeckého programu při pražském jednání celé unie a v detailu pak jeho segmentu, který zajišťovala Mezinárodní asociace geodézie (IAG). Zachycuje také informace o pracovních a organi-začních jednáních koncilu IUGG, volbě místa konaní valného shromáždění v roce 2019, přijatých rezolucích a volbě nového prezidenta IUGG. Podobné informace uvádí též v souvislosti s jednáním koncilu a výkonného výboru IAG při pražském shromáždění. Zachycuje složení nového výkonného výboru IAG. Zmiňuje se o předávání čestných cen a vědeckých ocenění, o vědeckých exkurzích a obsahu společenského programu. The paper is a report on the 26th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) held in Prague, June 22 to July 2, 2015. In the introduction it focuses on the IUGG structure, recalls the 3rd IUGG general assembly held in Prague in 1927 and briefly describes the procedure that resulted in the decision to select Prague for the venue in 2015. Subsequently, some basic facts are given, in particular the number of participants and the program of the opening session. The paper then continues with the content of the union scientific program in Prague and in detail it gives information on its segment prepared by the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). It also gives information on the business and organizational session ofthe IUGG council, on the choice of the venue for the general assembly in 2019, on the adopted resolutions and on the election of the IUGG president.
