Annotation:
Forestry maps are not a matter of the past few decades, but are connected with forestry from the very beginning the formation of foundations of the management of the Czech State. For the registration of matrimonial property regimes and for the valuation of forests it was in addition to set the border and their acreage and the final measurement results was captured in the urban books. These forestry maps later arise to even more specialized map work-maps of game preserves and pheasant house. Game preserves -the phenomenon of human activity in the landscape is most commonly associated with the period of the Baroque era, when the largest expansion of unique representation of hunting infrastructure occurred between forest and park. Perhaps the most prominent site in our territory was the area of Křivoklát. After the purchase of this vast forested estate by a noble family of the Valdstejn in the year 1865, a new phase begun, not only for the residents of the region around the Berounka river, but mainly for the forests. The newly formed Wallenstein Game Preserve in 1713 with an area of nearly 10 thousand hectares was classified among the largest hunting objects of Central Europe. The new game preserve carrying higher expectations for forestry and hunting economy in the whole region. It is these tracks we are able to identify primarily with the old forestry maps. The specifics of these maps we can demonstrate on the example of the map of Lánská Game Preserve, created by splitting of the original "Gig Wallenstein Game Preserve " in 1817. In addition to the unique map of Lánská Game Preserve we present a very specialized map of nibble of Lymantria nuns in the District of St. Elizabeth of the year 1919. This is all the more valuable, that it binds the daily notes from this period written by forester A. Böhm.
