The book presents a manufacturer of instruments used in the 16th to 20th centuries in today's Czech Republic. Selected important personalities working for manufacturers are listed in the List of Persons on the end of the book. The appendix also contains a brief time development of the constructions of individual parts of geodetic instruments, especially theodolites and leveling instruments.
