Annotation:
The article briefly recalls the life and work of the designer of excellent geodetic instruments Georg Friedrich von Reichenbach. He was the author of the extended arrangement of the axes of the theodolite or the reticule distance meter. This reticule became the basis of classical tachymetry. Johann von Fraunhofer, the author of the process of producing quality optical glass, is also mentioned. Following development of devices and related companies is indicated as well. Článek krátce připomíná život a dílo konstruktéra vynikajících geodetických přístrojů Georga Friedricha von Reichenbacha, autora rozšířeného uspořádání os repetičního teodolitu, nebo nitkového (ryskového) dálkoměru, který se stal základem klasické tachymetrie. Zmíněn je též fyzik a astronom Johann von Fraunhofer, autor postupu výroby kvalitních optických skel, a další osobnosti. Naznačen je také následující vývoj přístrojů a souvisejících firem.
